DRESS YOUR BODY RIGHT

I’m so excited to finally blog about this amazing Ronni Nicole dress I bought at Boutique à la Mode! I still remember as if it was yesterday. As I browsed through this chic boutique, across the Fig Designer Collection, a sparkle caught my eye. All I could see was the golden tip of a sleeve poking through the display of cocktail gowns. My Style Coach senses told me that this was going to be a good one.   As I gently pulled it down, with much anticipation, my heart skipped a beat and it was love at first sight. I rushed to the dressing room to try it on; wow was the word that came out of my mouth. I was in total awe; it fit every curve of my body to perfection. I literally couldn’t stop looking at myself; I felt so beautiful. That is what every woman longs for when searching for an outfit, isn’t it?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The key to feeling beautiful is not only how you feel in your skin, but also how you feel in your clothes. Trust me. I know first hand the frustration of how a few extra pounds can suddenly turn your wardrobe into your worst enemy. As little as five pounds can make quite the difference in the comfort of your clothes, so imagine what twenty-five will do to you! Listen ladies, unless your health is in jeopardy, the number on the scale truly doesn’t matter. The problem lies when you continue to dress your now 38C girls into your then 36A cup. You can say that I pretty much just stopped breathing for the whole summer. And don’t get me started on my belly that has just recently taken up jogging with the girls. Fun times!

All jokes aside, being uncomfortable every single day is no laughing matter. It creates irritability, frustration, low self-esteem and for some, depression. That’s why it is so important to upgrade your closet with new pieces that will not only give you the comfort that you need, but the confidence in knowing that you are beautiful no matter what size you are.

For me, this gold dress is just what I needed to remind myself what I teach my clients, and why I chose this profession. This suit of armour, with it’s jewel side appliqué, made me feel like a superwoman; strong, beautiful and glamorous. Learning how to dress your body type is essential for a healthy mind and spirit; and knowing how to do it, is half the battle.

Sounds familiar? I want to hear from you!
